AprDid He Lie Or Not?
I’m confused about something. For months, Bush haters have been going on that “Bush lied” about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and they had been waiting with baited breath for Woodward’s book to come out. When the book finally comes out, it details that Bush actually was initally skeptical about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and demanded more evidence from George Tenet, which he said was a “Slam dunk”. So which is it? Did Bush lie about weapons of mass destruction, or did he sincerely believe Iraq had them?
But Bush is a horrible person that even schoolkids depict as the devil and he deserves to die, right? In this story some 15 year old drew a picture in art class of George W. Bush as the devil, with his head severed and on the end of a stick. Disturbing, I think. Something tells me there was more to the story, though, considering he was visited by the secret service about it. But some people didn’t find this kid’s drawing disturbing at all. Immediately everyone jumps up and calls the kid a hero and criticizes the school for violating this kid’s rights and points a finger at Bush for some reason. I know it’s really cool to hate Bush and all but doesn’t anyone but me see anything wrong with a kid drawing the severed head of the US president on a stick? When the Columbine and following incidents came around, didn’t we decide to take a closer look at what the students are thinking – in hopes to prevent another masacre – and possibly help troubled kids? Since Columbine, teachers and administrators are taught (and expected) to be tuned in to this type of thing. You cannot explicitly or implicitly threaten anyone’s life without getting hauled to the principal’s office. Apparently the school and police thought it was necessary to escalate this kid’s troubles to the Secret Service, which is why I think there’s a lot more to the story than we’re being told.
There’s been an awful lot of criticism against wealthy people lately. Wealthy people are just evil, right? That’s the basis of most people’s case against Bush, “oh he’s just this rich jerk who has ties in Oil companies and he just wanted to go to war in Iraq because of the oil,” they say. So if we apply this same logic to the democratic candidate, this must mean that since Kerry has close ties to Ketchup companies (Heinz) maybe this means we’ll finally be invading China, the world’s largest tomato producer. You’re goin down, China. People call China a ‘red’ country for a reason, I guess.
The debate over John Kerry’s military record is still going strong. I don’t really understand why at this point. I wish this election could be about stuff that matters rather than who has more war medals in their box. Kerry is this decorated war hero, which is great, but what does it matter that Bush has no medals in his box. Clinton’s box was just as empty – but apparently military status is only an issue in an election when a democrat has one.
They’re both richer than Midas scumbags who could really care less about you and me. This country’s political climate is poisonous and it’s coming from both sides. The Republicans and Democrats have effectively prevented us from doing anything substantive to solve our problems, its one big sissy fight in the schoolyard.
I still don’t know who the heck to vote for.
