I feel like I’ve got one of the monkeys off my back. You probably hear me complain about work a lot on here, and that’s because you know what I REALLY hated my job. It was the biggest stressor in my life, which is wrong because I should be stressing over school and freelance projects. But I’m pleased to say it’s finally over, I have quit my job at the bank. I am now in the position that I’ll be able to devote the next few months to my last term of school and to freelance design projects. What a relief.

Well it’s May, which is a special month for my Mom. Mother’s Day is coming up and her birthday is this month, and this year is her 50th birthday which is kind of cool. So to any relatives who read this, be sure not to forget her big 50th.

So I’m sitting back and enjoying my evening. Normally I’d be working tonight, but instead I’m relaxing on the couch with the laptop, designing a poster for my Portfolio Preparation class. It’s nice to be able to relax and work isn’t it? Even when there’s a huge deadline and I’m up working through the night on design work, I’m still relaxed and don’t get stressed out. It’s because I just love doing this stuff, and I can’t wait until it’s my full time job.

I’m probably going to make some changes to the website soon, I have a few freelance projects in the works but with my time I’ll be doing a few different things around here with this site as well. I’m not going to divulge exactly what, yet, but I’ll keep you posted on here.

The top 40 music page has been updated for the month, and I rewrote the Artist’s Statement so that it’s a little less generic. It doesn’t sound like a commercial anymore, it’s more personal, which is good. I think you’ll start to see a little more positivity from me around here from now on. I’m sick of being stressed out and unhappy, so as you can tell I’m making some changes.
